Beckenham 10k, Trail Race & Relay

Beckenham holds three races that are open to the public each year. Places are limited so it is advisable to apply early to ensure your place.  Our next race is the:

November 21st 2010 – Beckenham Charity Trail 10k

About the course:
The course is 10km, consisting of two circuits, around Beckenham Place Park. It is a challenging multi-terrain course, using footpaths through the woods and fields, with minimal tarmac.   The tracks and paths are good, but runners should be prepared for tree roots and uneven surfaces.  There are three hills on the course.  There are also likely to be some muddy and/or slippery patches on the way.The course will be marshalled at regular points, but this is a trail race, and runners are expected to follow signage, tape markings, and sawdust trails.  Trail shoes should be appropriate, but road shoes should also be adequate except in the event of heavy rainfall beforehand. Spikes will not be required. There will be water available at 5km and also at the end of the race.

There are Changing Facilities, showers and toilets for men and ladies at the club.

All are welcome to stay for Prize-giving at Race HQ, shortly after the race is over. Also, all runners are welcome back to HQ  for a complimentary cup of tea and a cake (while supplies last).  The club bar will be open by 12 noon.

We shall post the results on the wall at Race HQ on the day and on our website www.beckenhamrunning.co.uk
