This year not only do we have the usual club Grand Prix, we also have “running” alongside this the Cross-Country Grand Prix, a new competition to find our very own King and Queen of the mud.
For the Main Grand Prix runners are split into 3 leagues judged on previous performances, these are the Premier League, 1st Division and 2nd Division. For the Cross Country Grand Prix there is simply a men’s and ladies league. Based on club results at selected races, runners will earn 20 points for 1st place, 18 for 2nd 16 for 3rd then 14, 13, 12, 11-1 for the remaining places. The fixtures are as below and will be added to when dates of races later in the year are announced. And just to keep everyone on their toes and give the more venerable members a chance of beating the younger whippets there is also an age graded competition too where the best average WAVA score over the year wins. Let battle commence!
