BECKENHAM RUNNING CLUB

Sailing in the Med' 3rd August 2004

That's the Medway not the Mediterranean. Obviously. ( Did you see what we did there ?) A day's preparation in advance of the full-blown (haha) sail to Alderney in September for the half marathon. Teamwork, enthusiasm, and a chap called James ( hidden behind mast but who is a proper sailor) made for a smooth running crew.

First tie your rope. Properly this time.
"Its not a rope its a sheet. Or is it a halyard?"
 Underway.

Do you know, while this picture was being taken, the rest of England was being battered by hail and storm conditions. Sweet.

Andy supervises.

With Ken on the wheel, we hit six knots, causing severe 'hat hair'.
Go on Andy. Buy one.
We called in at Oompa-Lumpa on the way home and were privileged to be visited aboard ship by the queen of the Rum-Tum tribe.
