“Piece of Cake” – Trial # 2 World Record Smashed
Posted by ben in Club Events, Everything Else on July 19th, 2009
16th July 1009 – The Cream of South London Sprint Cyclists gather for the Legendary Beckenham Running Club “Piece of Cake” 1.5 Mile Sprint Classic.
In perfect conditions Nolan recovered from persistant cycle clip fumbling (and no matter how many times you explain it Nolan, those clips don’t look particularly tricky to me) to shave 11 seconds off the previous world record, held by Disloyal Webmaster since, umm, 2009. In addition the “middle field” was nail-bitingly close.

1.5 Mile Time Trial Cycle Sprint
Posted by ben in Everything Else on June 17th, 2009
Tomorrow we are testing out our first time trial ride – this is just a bit of fun, which involves cycling as fast as conditions safely permit around a 1.5 mile course. No right turns, no Give-Ways, and one stop sign, at the end.
And this is the route…. if you click in the little picture, you get a big one. Amazing.
