2014 Charity Trail 10K – Results & Photos

Many thanks to everyone who ran in today’s Charity Trail 10k in the fantastic sunshine.  Some excellent times in challenging conditions due to the recent rain.

Well done to all prize winners and a special thanks to Stuart Douglas (3rd place Man) and Windrush Triathlon Club (Mens and Ladies team prizes) who donated their prize money to the Royal British Legion.

Beachy Head Marathon

The previous weekend’s ultra distance races were obviously not enough for both Ken Fancett and Neil Fox who have also successfully completed a very tough hilly marathon in Eastbourne on Saturday…as you do!

Ultra Running at its best!

After a few halves and full marathons this year plus a not too shabby 100 mile race back in June, Ken Fancett has completed another 100 mile challenge in a staggering 17th place out of 95 finishers. Don’t know how he does it… Neil Fox has also successfully completed last weekend a 50 mile trail race in Rotherham. Well done both!

Weekend round up

Apart from Swanley XC, this weekend was packed with other events in which several of our members took part. Great performances at Royal Parks half by Alice and Ruth, Simon Carter came 2nd in the Fast & Furious Duathlon and it looks like we did rather well in Petts Wood 10k, with a special mention to Donna, Craig and Ken F who were 1st in their repective age categories!

Bournemouth Half Marathon

Many congrats to Peter Baksh who has clocked this Sunday the fastest half marathon time in BRC history. Not only he has PB’d for almost 3 minutes but also made the podium just after the Commonwealth games 2:15 marathoner Steve Way. Good work Pete!
