VII Grande Prémio de Atletismo GD Santander Totta

No…It’s not a GP or a UK race, just another exploit abroad, this time in Portugal. Distance: 6.2k. Why not finding a local race when your are away on holidays? Jim did… and with the right tips (from a certain portuguese!) signed up for this one, while relaxing in the Algarve. The result was good enough for a top 4 Vet, but as the first one came second overall he scooped the 3rd prize in his category with a little trophy and 30 euros!!

Overall Position Name Chip Time
15  Jim Addison 18:04

Copenhagen Marathon

Less than a month after London, Simon Carter attempted to conquer the danish capital. Multiple marathons in a short period of time don’t always mean high risk strategy, provided you train and recover smartly, focusing only on fine tuning quality sessions as all the hard work is done, especially the long runs. Surely Simon followed this mantra as he not only smashed his PB by almost 5 minutes but also completed his first marathon in a sub-3 hours time. Good work Simon!
