As discussed last night, two more pieces of cake have been fitted into busy August. These are:
Thursday 5 August (shall we say, 7.15pm start (school night))
and Friday 20 August (shall we say, 7.30pm start night)

I found this on my mobile phone. BRC runners, and dog, relax in full glorious widescreen format after the GRB.
For those looking for a fast 10k next year. This is the one. First half is fast and flat along main road for 5k. You then turn and run back along the picturesque Thames towpath for 5k. It starts and finishes in Walton on Thames. I finished in 37:07 fastest time since May 2005 even with a glut strain! Craig.
Two Runners, made it to Dunwich on the Suffolk coast by bicycle over night on Saturday, participating in the Dunwich Dynamo. Steve and Will (I) decided fairly early on with the warm weather conditions and very slight head wind (and low number riders from the club, just us two!) to set down a fast (ish) club record even though it is not a race.
We left at 8.10pm on Saturday and arrived at Dunwich at 6.30am. Our total stops lasted 1hr30m with 30m for midnight lunch. Our average speed was 13.3mph.
Thanks for the support to the start and Tony for driving us back. Photos to follow.
Oooooh ahhhhhh…. this Summers / Autumn winter collection has been unveiled and top of this seasons must have list is this sassy new white technical t-shirt. Be the envy of other running clubs with this latest addition to the Beckenham wardrobe. Made of white wicking fabric, with reflective piping down the sides & printed with the Beckenham logo on the front and back, you’ll be sure to be seen as you jog along. Available in a range of sizes including a ladies fit version….. yours at a snip for £15.00 from Andy “Trotter” Hinds.

Latest results for the month of July are now up on the Handicap 2010 page including the updated overall points table. Darren (what did you do to your elbow?) slips from 1st to 3rd with Mrs Sullivan rising above Mr Sullivan to claim top spot!
Congratulations are due to Nolan and Hannah for getting engaged. Keep us posted for when to get the hats Nolan. Also, feel free to post photos!
On a different subject, all at Beckenham RC hope Darren makes a speedy recovery from his injured elbow during last night’s run.

Going back to the previous weekend, good results for our tri stars at white oaks. Well done Andrea, Sophie (debut!) and John. Results here.
The piece of cake returns this week on FRIDAY.
